EXCLUSIVE FOUR-PART INFO SERIES

RE-ENGAGE AND
RE-IGNITE YOUR CHURCH'S PASSION FOR CHRIST IN THIS COVID-19 ERA...

...with the proven Campaign Engagement Method.

Welcome to part two of our four-part info series!

If you didn't catch the first part... we highly recommend you go back and read it before continuing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you've already read the first part of this info series, thanks for joining us once again.
We covered a lot of ground last week about what the Campaign Engagement Method is and why it's so powerful.
We also talked about why the harvest has never been more ripe and more open to hearing the Gospel message.
We looked at a couple of recent statistics from Google that provided concrete evidence of how many are seeking answers to some of life's greatest questions right now.
But this week we're going to do something a bit different.
We're going to show you exactly how to use the Campaign Engagement Method at your church, starting with the four P's of running a successful church campaign.
The four P's are part of the step-by-step process to reigniting your church's passion and purpose.
The first P of course is PRAYER:
THE FIRST P OF COURSE IS PRAYER:
We probably don't need to re-emphasize the power and importance of prayer in everything that we do... but it's impossible to overstate just how critical prayer is for running a campaign.
Spend time with the Lord, and ask him what he want's to do in your church.
Ask him how he wants to touch the hearts and minds of his people... people he's given you the privilege of shepherding.
There's no doubt that when you pray... God moves.
The Bible says this about prayer:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God”
(Philippians 4:6 ESV).
Prayer is at the heart of all successful campaigns.
Before, during, and after.
Always remember God's Word given to you in your time of prayer, never ceasing throughout the campaign... and you will see the fruit that has been promised.
THE SECOND P IS PICK
The second P is PICK
...as in PICK a campaign, and PICK a launch date.
After you've spent time in prayer, seeking the Lord for direction on how he wants you to lead his people, you'll probably have a good idea of what type of campaign you should run.
There's a number of church-wide campaigns available to you right here at Pastors.com, with topics ranging from purpose, to love, to prayer—you name it.
Is God directing your church to focus more on loving one another?
Or is he wanting you to focus more on prayer?
How about encouraging your church to become more bold with their giving?
There are a variety of Biblical topics to choose from, and each campaign is designed to focus and connect your congregation around one specific theme.
You also need to look at the calendar and set aside 6-8 weeks in which you know you'll have your congregations undivided attention.
Usually this time falls in line when kids are heading back to school.
Why?
Because there are no longer a ton of vacations planned and people are settling back into a routine.
This means you'll have a much better opportunity to get everyone's attention.
Even if the schools in your town or state are only meeting online... this is still the best time because people are traveling less.
The 3rd of the four P's
is PLAN
THE 3RD OF THE FOUR P'S IS PLAN
Okay, so after you've prayed and received direction from the Lord + picked your campaign and launch date... it's now time to plan.
We recommend that you start planning 3-6 weeks before the campaign starts, making sure to announce the campaign to your congregation two weeks prior to launch.
This way, your members can get excited about what's to come... and can begin to spread the word about the campaign. (We'll talk about that in a moment.)
In your planning, your goal as a leader is to not center everything around your direction.
Instead, you want to ask the Holy Sprit to reveal the best way to mobilize your leaders.
Once your leaders embrace your vision, they will become your greatest assets for successfully running a church-wide campaign.
In your planning, you want to map out how many small groups you're going to want to setup, and identify potential leaders of each small group.
You also want to plan each and every key date, and plan to run the race to completion.
"We can make our plans but the Lord determines our steps"
(Proverbs 16:9 NLT).
The final P
is PROMOTE
THE FINAL P
IS PROMOTE
Now... promoting anything for a church may seem like a daunting task to many, but it doesn't have to be!
Nowadays there are so many ways to promote your campaign with zero financial cost and little time invested.
How?
With the power of social media... you can reach hundreds thousands of people in an instant.
Almost every church has at least one person who is a social media expert.
All you need is a handful of people with a social media account to share posts about the upcoming campaign.
But this is only one of the many ways to promote your campaign for free.
Text messaging, emailing, and calling people on the phone still work very well!
Remind your congregation that there are tons of people right now searching for meaning and purpose... and many of them are friends and family members.
Because so many are seeking this right now, there's no way to fail when asking non believers their thoughts about God!
This is NOT a time for the church to sit idle...
And if your church is not officially meeting in person due to restrictions, inviting someone to attend an online message has never been easier.
In fact... because of COVID-19 many people are still apprehensive about physically gathering at church.
There's actually widespread agreement across major religions in support of governmental authority to curb religious gatherings.
74% of Christians, and 85% of religiously unaffiliated Americans believe government officials have the power to limit Americans from attending religious services. Source: voterstudygroup.org.
What's more... there's evidence that even AFTER restrictions are lifted, a good portion of congregants will still not return to service.
52% of Christians said they would either "Probably not attend" or "Definitely would not attend" service even after restrictions were lifted on the advice of public health officials. Source: Democracy Fund Voter Study Group.
This means, as long as the Coronavirus hangs around, people will be less and less interested in showing up to church in person and more interested in viewing services online.
It's time to ride this wave of interest, rather than fight it!
Inviting friends and family members to an online message or small group is currently the easiest and best way to engage others!
Here Are Some Best Practices To Running
A Church-Wide Campaign Online
THERE ARE MULTIPLE
REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD STRONGLY CONSIDER RUNNING
A CHURCH-WIDE CAMPAIGN
The first thing you need to know about running a church-wide campaign online is that it's not as challenging of a task as you may think. In fact with the right tools—it's easy!
You can set up a livestream that simultaneously casts on multiple platforms at the same time... even if you only have a single camera source.
In other words, you can run a live campaign message, and have it show up on Facebook, Youtube, or any other platform you wish.
Plus... you can have all the comments from the stream appear in one place, rather than have different people comment on different pages.
It's like your congregation can show up to whatever venue works best for them!
You are duplicating your efforts with no effort at all.
The only thing you need is the right setup.
You can do this with software like Restream.io, Switchboard.live, and Castr.io (Pleas note: we don't promote or work for any of those services... you need to check out what's best for you).
Once you've got that set up... streaming to multiple platforms is a snap!
Streaming to multiple platforms is important for several reasons... but the most important reason is that people consume information differently.
This means that not everyone will be on Facebook... they may be on Youtube or some other social sharing platform.
THERE ARE MULTIPLE
REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD STRONGLY CONSIDER RUNNING
A CHURCH-WIDE CAMPAIGN
Next, you're going to want to coordinate small groups online.
There are a number of ways to run small groups online using different services... and many of them are absolutely FREE, like Zoom.
With this service, you can sign up for a free account and host an entire small group study.
Each campaign includes a small group DVD, and with Zoom you can play and share the DVD message with everyone on the Zoom video call.
In fact, many businesses and organizations use this platform to hold team meetings on a regular basis.
There are other services you can choose from as well such as Join.me and Gotomeeting.
Now, there are some big advantages to having an online meeting.
Here are a few:
- There is no travel time involved with meeting online, which means there is no travel fatigue for the attendees. This gives attendees more time to focus and concentrate.
- You can reach out to people in any geographic area. This allows the opportunity to reach more people throughout the country and around the world!
- You have the same opportunity as you would in-person to share personal thoughts and feelings, and some may feel less inhibited to let down their guard and share.
Of course you lose that human interaction touch... but with everything going on in the world, online meetings are the next best thing!
We even offer one of our church-wide campaign small group messages online, absolutely FREE!
Our church-wide campaign videos for 40 Days Of Prayer are all on YouTube at no cost to you!
This makes it even easier to hold an online meeting.
