On the surface, it seems like an easy question to answer.
But as you really start to think about it... the answer tends to become foggier and foggier.
And if you're not sure of the answer, it's okay. You're not alone.
Most people don't have an answer to this question either.
In fact, Jeremiah asked this very question: "Why was I born? Was it only to have trouble and sorrow, to end my life in disgrace?" (Jeremiah 20:18 GNT).
One would think, however, that Christians would be more in-tune with knowing their purpose than non-Christians.
The sad reality is: Many Christians don't have the answer.
Go ahead and see for yourself.
Next time you run across someone in your church, ask them this very question: Why were you born?
Take note of their response. Many won't know.
But today we're going to tell you exactly why so many have trouble answering this question.
It's simple... they're trying to figure out the answer by themselves.
You see, when you search for purpose outside of God... you'll never find it.
And with everything going on in the world right now, finding purpose seems to be even more difficult than in the past.
But we're here to help.
This week we're highlighting the What On Earth Am I Here For? Campaign (formerly known as 40 Days of Purpose).
It's designed to help your congregation find their purpose in life through the Word of God.
