“What, then, shall we say in response to these things?
If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31 (NIV)

When you know God is for you, it’ll change your ministry.

You’ll stop thinking of God as someone who’s looking down from heaven, ready to yell, “Gotcha!” anytime you mess up. That’s no way to live, and it’s no way to serve Jesus.

God wants your ministry to be fruitful—he created you for a purpose and wants you to succeed. It is God, your Creator, who will measure your ministry success and no one else.
This is extremely good news!

Sometimes, we can mistakenly believe that God is looking at our ministries with a clipboard in hand, ready to point out our mistakes.

But nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus said, “I did not come into the world to condemn it, but to save it.” What Jesus was saying is, “I didn’t come to scold you; I came to save you.”

You’ve likely taught that verse to your congregation and helped them recognize the compassion of Jesus. But have you applied the compassion of Jesus to your own life and ministry?

Other people may criticize your ministry, talk about you behind your back, or grade your every sermon. Or maybe you feel like every decision you make is second-guessed. But that’s not how God treats you...

God is for you!

Romans 8:31 reminds us that “if God is for us, who can be against us?” (NIV).
If you have God in your corner, who can be against you?

No one.
