“But to all who believed him and accepted him,
he gave the right to become children of God.”
John 1:12 (NLT)

Turn on your television or go online this Christmas, and you’ll discover all sorts of Christmas messages.

But for the One who invented Christmas, there’s only one message that really matters for our ministries this Christmas:

God wants to share eternity with us.

More than anything else, you need to remind people this holiday season that they weren’t created just to live 80 or 90 years on earth and then die.

God has long-range plans for all of us. He made us to live forever.

One day the hearts of every person you’ll engage this Christmas will stop. That will be the end of their hearts, but it won’t be the end of them.

They’ll last for eternity—for trillions of years! And God wants them to be part of his family.

That’s why only one Christmas message this year will rise above the rest.

The Bible says of Jesus, “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12 NLT).

That’s the great news of Christmas. This offer is available to anyone.

You might be tempted to preach many different sermons and teach many different lessons this Christmas. Some are funny. Some are popular.

But they all pale in comparison.

If people watch or come to your Christmas services and have a wonderful time, but they don’t truly engage with the most important message in the universe, it’s a waste.

They’ll miss the point entirely.

Are you ready to make the message of Jesus crystal clear this Christmas?
